Donika Rizova (1975) is a writer, journalist, communications expert, and active travel blogger. She graduated with a major in Public Relations and has won numerous awards, including the Golden Pen from the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, the St. Vlas for television journalism, as well as a nomination for Woman of the Year. She actively supports charitable and educational causes related to children at risk, those with special educational needs, and promoting reading. She is a frequent guest on television formats discussing important societal issues.

She debuted as a children’s author with the fantasy trilogy about the dragon Rinty. She is also the author of children’s books as part of a project supporting endangered species, and lately she has been writing for adults as well. Donika travels around the country to meet children of all ages, igniting a love for books in young readers.
