Master Yakim Gusla was a luthier, renowned and respected throughout the entire country. He had the skill to craft marvelous musical instruments. Moreover, he could effortlessly compose beautiful melodies and perform them with virtuosity.
The master’s only heir was his young daughter, Viola. With her sparkling green eyes, gentle smile, and kind nature, she would have been a joy and pride for any parent—but not for Master Gusla.
The old master was consumed by deep sorrow. Viola, his only child and the last descendant of many generations of musicians, could not tell one note from another.
As fate would have it, Viola met an extraordinary boy named Phillip.
