Colourful Rug was YordanRadichkov’s first book for children. Overshadowed by his other children’s books, We the Sparrows and Little Frog Stories, The Colourful Rug is one of the author’s most tender and beautiful works aimed at younger readers. It was penned by Radichkov in 1964. The writer paints pictures from the reality of rural life, which is inhabited by wayward members of the animal kingdom and untameable natural elements.
